Travelodge commissioned Barnes Construction, through Henry Boot, to build a new 78 bed, 20,000 sq. ft. hotel in the heart of West London.
Owing to its location in the prestigious Richmond-Upon-Thames, care was taken to ensure that the hotel blended in with existing properties in the area. With that in mind, traditional brick and stone features were proposed.
Barnes, wanting to source a lightweight but durable stone solution, contacted us to help them achieve their desired finish. The location of the site also hampered the use of heavy stone, with crane access being limited.
We provided StonePlus window surrounds, stringers and copings which gave the building a contemporary feel, whilst preserving the heritage of the neighbouring properties.
